HappIly Ever After
The dragon is dead
As is the city of Azmandya
But Saturn lives on
The galaxy remaining unphased
There’s a hero
Who rises like the sun
A bloody sword
Held up to the sky
Iridescent eyes glisten
A princess in his arms
With braided hair
Her red lips kiss him
As she says “good riddance”
To the fallen monster
Fairies and elves
All knew of Azmandya
And after recovery
Find solice away from it all
And the defeated dragon
In their final moments
Reminisces of girlhood
By the sea before
Her tears shaped into scales
Youth spent dreaming
Of iridescent eyes
That will save her
Being told to save herself
Then finding herself
Desolate and bleeding
A hero and his princess
Surrounded by comrades,
Reborn magic and
Newfound hope
The villain is gone
So in classic fashion
They all lived
Happily ever after
Azmandya and the Dragon
May be a story long forgotten
But those who know it
Usually will celebrate
Except for those
Who mourn the wicked beast.
