Back from the Dead
golden light shines above,
I see a hand, and
it reaches down to Me,
so gentle, so warm
someone new,
they Wash away the dirt
and bandage my open wounds.
And for so long,
i have spent my days yearning
of dancing like before,
or vengeance against foes
but clarity is with my love,
talking of the past,
and the future too.
i now walk by their side,
sanctuary is wherever they go,
whether that be In cold buildings,
or within open spaces.
my love can recite my life like a song
they see my achilles heel.
and find Truths in my facade.
so It can’t end like that,
where the hand that clasps my shoulder
becomes one that i suffocate from.
don’t end like that,
the one who laughs to me,
even in crowded rooms,
disappears and leaves me for dead.
but reassurance is found
whenever they smile.
and when we’re alone,
Nothing’s quite as serene.
for my love, i would sign my deathwish,
and i would Give all i have,
a bruised peach,
a Fallen tower.
and if all else fails,
i may never rise.
no One else will do.
but my love Rises with the sun,
i look into their eyes,
it glimmers iridescently.
they’ll always have a friend in me.
all that kills me is for Yesterday.
now i follow where they go.
“time is sacred”, they say,
so i swear to honor Our days.
i will keep all we whisper in a locket.
i continue to await our greetings,
Understanding is found when we speak,
i love our insightful talks,
our pranks,
i even love our quarrels.
they’re the one i look for,
when i celebrate or cry.
they solved the puzzle,
so this treasure is theirs
and i just have to believe,
this won’t end.
